Goodbye IMU & TASI for residents
IMU & TASI on the first house (prima casa) with the exception of real estate.
From 2016 all owners no longer have to pay to the commune the fee for services covered by IMU & TASI. The same is true for tenants.
For 2015 TASI was payable but not IMU (unless house is in Category A01, A08 or A09 when IMU was payable)
If the house is in Category A01, A08 or A09 then IMU and TASI continue to be payable.

So, as a resident with only one house here, there is zero to pay ?! Is Berlo back in ? Who pays the comune to 'do things' ?

Re: Goodbye IMU & TASI for residents
Dont hold your breath though - they'll get it back in other ways.
But yes - no TASI on prima casa (ie resident first house) IMU and TASI remains payable on certain categories, dependances, outbuildings, etc etc etc and second homes will get walloped this year which for most Brits is going to be a nasty shock.
Regarding tenants - obviously you cannot rent out your prima casa, so there should be no tenant and TASI involved......

Thanks as ever modi (and Panner)..........this is EXACTLY what makes me mad, change change change change !
In the last 7/8 years I think we've had some 4 changes to this tax and then on top of that they change the name and then they don't even send you a bill !.....
I'm sure the tax will indeed be back with yet another new name and we will have to use an even more bewildering algorithm to work it out until the online boys provide some help !
Hey ho !

Now found this - not sure what it means to non-resident holiday home owners like me.

It means you have to pay both TASI (if your comune charges it) and IMU I'm afraid.
