Hospital transport Empty Hospital transport

Does such a thing exist here?  A friend has to attend hospital for tests and treatments.  The hospital is a 3/4's of an hours drive away.  She does not drive and has no family to take her.  I can help out when I can but did wonder, if like in the UK hospital transport existed here.  Any info would be much appreciated.

It will depend on your regional asl and how old your friend is.

Thx Modi, will call and see them (asl) and ask them the question.  My friend is in her 70's, and there is very little public transport where she lives.
