Meeting in Sarnano re quake damage
Apparently all paperwork / claims must be in before the end of the year. Not to borrow money from the bank. Once work has started you have a year to finish it. The people holding the meeting said it would take 20 years before the whole of Sarnano would be repaired, that includes churches, galleries and everything, how depressing ! I have also heard the planned cycle path is no more thank goodness.

Wow - you only get a year to finish the work. That will be tough as builders will be in short supply.

Admin A year is not long. We decided to get the work done without the help from the comune as felf it would be quicker and we would have a little more control....and a builder able to do the work before demand for builders soars.

Re: Meeting in Sarnano re quake damage
Angela, I never made it either, I'll ask around as well,
Admin, have you been back here to see any of the devastation ? We were in Tolentino a few weeks back and the number of people still living in wooden boxes/containers is amazing.
At times some things move slowly here,

Any update for Tolentino
Hi everyone,
our house is category 'E' damage - which I think is the worst. After almost a year we have made no progress. Our engineer tells us that the comune are handling the applications in order - with the least damage properties first - and that category 'e' will not be dealt with until the end of the year.
So a whole year without a house and yet more to come - I am somewhat depressed about this situation.
Anyone in the same boat who has other information ?
