ALTACHIARA IN PORTOFINO
Can you spare 26,000,000€? It is possibly the bargain of the year, as the original price was nearly 35M... It is "Altachiara" in Portofino, originally built in 1874 by the 4th Earl of Carnarvon, whose family home in the UK was Highclere (better known nowadays as Downton Abbey). Well, the gorgeous villa may be suffering from the famous Tutankhamon curse, as its last owner, Countess Vacca Agusta died there in very suspicious circumstances. It is alleged that she did not commit suicide by throwing herself on to the rocks and sea below, but was killed on the terrace and thrown to the waters... In any case, "Altachiara" is still looking for an owner not too worried about Egyptian curses and with a healthy bank account. If I had the money... I would buy!

What a spot! At a mere €26m surely Ms D will be snapping it up to go with her 'diamond encrusted villa' on the Amalfi coast.
