Italian cookbook author Marcella Hazan died aged 89. A great cookbook author and ambassador of Italian cooking in the USA and internationally, she will be missed by her many readers. May she rest in peace.Marcella Hazan dies

How sad to hear the news. Her book "The clasic italian cookbook", what a great read it is and one of the first cookbooks that really explained italian cookery to me!

She was a great teacher. Her classic recipe of "Roast chicken with 2 lemons" is simple, easy to prepare and delicious. Real food with the Italian "touch".
