BERLUSCONI...AND NOW WHAT?

Will he go to jail? Perhaps house arrest? What about the rest of the sentence? And what will the Pdl do now? Is Letta in serious trouble? What will happen?

I think an Appeal is probably first on the list for the slippery git... even though he's had 4 already.

This is a Supreme Court ruling, so I do not think that he can appeal. So he is now in big trouble.... although, with him, we have to be prepared for some surprises...

The smart money is on House arrest or Community service, but some charges regarding holding public office have been referred back to Milan High Court to cut it from 5 to 3 years, so this is likely to spin it out for a while longer so he's not gone quite yet... 

Community service? He may ask to do social work to help the "Ruby"'s of Italy. It would be better and safer to keep him under house arrest

Oh yes, that is his typical remark, which sounds terribly old fashioned. I may also be accused of being a "feminist"! And a communist-feminist may be the ultimate!

I guess many a guilty person has claimed innocence as the noose is put around their neck, just on the half chance someone will listen and save their neck .... 

It would be interesting to see what kind of new evidence he has. perhaps Ruby's testimony?
