Residenza - prima casa- income/property tax for short stay in Italy
Having moved to Italy, taken up residency and started up in the village scuola materna last March we are now off to Paris with my husband's job. I am wondering two things...a) should we shift the status of the Italian house over to seconda casa (our house in the UK is let and has been fro some years now) whilst we rent in Paris and b) my only income in this period has been from our UK house rental - ie non of it Italian earned and I pay all taxes in the Uk via my accountant. If I contact our commune immediately and tell them I'll no longer be resident will I be liable for Italian taxes from the period Late March - early August (I've been out of Italy for at least a month during this time too). My UK accountant says I won't have to pay Italian taxes on top but what are others' experiences of this type of thing? Thanks!

You should not be liable for Italian tax, other than on Italian source income and property taxes, if you have only been living in Italy from March to early August this year as you should not be classed as Italian tax resident if you were previously UK tax resident
