auto repair facility

Any recommendations for a car repair facility in the general Lunigiana area that can handle various makes of autos? We have an older Subaru with a power steering problem ( believe it needed a new belt and alignment) that was “repaired” last year at a dealer in Germany. The problem has returned and the nearest dealer is in Parma, so if we can get it repaired “locally” and avoid the trip to Parma, it would be more convenient.
Any suggestions?

Fred, the best option IMO is to ask a friend/neighbour if they can recommend a garage that does repairs, not necessarily a dealer, as most garages can get parts supplied for all makes at the end of a phone.

We used to travel to the dealer, but then found our very local "rivisione" garage did everything from the car to the lawnmower and were just as good a job and much cheaper.

We've had a couple of things done at the garage in Aulla sort of across from the Penny Market.  I'm afraid I don't know the name of the garage but next door there is a shop selling gardening tools, plants, and wine making stuff.  Anyway, the work was not terribly extensive but we found their prices were good and the work reliable.

Thanks for the responses. As for checking with neighbors, there are only a few in our small village with cars. Sourced them first. Have some good leads to check out.

Giorgi in Pallerone, excellent service. Five minutes of diagnostics, fifteen minutes of repair, 15 Euros plus a little extra tip for the mechanic.
