Today, we went to Florenceto spend a few hours at the Palazzo Vecchio. We have been there a few times in the past; however, we were always in a hurry and this time we really wanted to look at the Palace in detail. We thorougly enjoyed it! After the visit, we headed for the Central Market. I had recently read this article in Debra Kolkka's blog and I was curious http://bagnidilucca.wordpress.com/2014/05/22/a-great-new-place-to-eat-in-florence/ Well... we were not disappointed. It is an unpretentious gourmet's paradise, full of atmosphere, great food and reasonable prices. Apparently, it has been operating since April. There is a cooking bookshop, full of interesting books and even a cooking school (the prestigious Lorenzo de Medici) and a gourmet foodshop with interesting things (I bought a few). What I enjoyed the most was a delicious raspberry sorbet, full of fresh fruit and made to perfection. Next time you go to Florence put it on your list of "to do things".  You will not be disappointed.  Very Happy

I am not very fond of tripe... but I think that I will give it a go next time... with red wine. The whole market is really awesome and they have done an excellent job with the first floor. In the "salumeria" they had some interesting cooking utensils. I must investigate!
