Opera

Friends have bought tickets for the Macerata Opera and were wondering a) Is there a dress code (doubt it) and b) can anyone recommend a good place to park ?  Apparently, tickets are available 1hr before the performance, not a lot of time to get sorted.......

We go every year (our anniversary, Christmas and Birthday treat) and there is parking signposted on the main road through around Macerata - just follow the signs for the Sferisterio Parking - it's past the new Oasi and the hospital and very well signposted and always plenty of spaces. We usually arrive at 6ish and pick up our tickets no problem - the performance starts at 9 and no dress code, people dress up or down, depending on how they feel, no problems. Hope they enjoy it...

Another question, sorry jo or anyone else,,,,any eating places to recommend nr the opera please.....

There are pizzerias/restaurants in the lower plaza where the booking office is located where you can eat outside - we usually go to Ristorante-Pizzeria da Silvano which is about two thirds up the steps to the central plaza.
