Jeremy Corbyn - very left and will probably be the cause of a major split in the Labour Party.

IMO just what the Labour Party needs, a Politicain who answers questions and does not avoid the issues; also a firm believer in Peoples Rights and the right to a future. Not sure how the UK will square with his anti nuclear stance, but a definite boost for the working classes. Also maybe a split with Europe on the cards.

I do have to keep laughing when the child-journalists keep talking about his 'new' policies. They are not new it's just they are too young to remember them the first time round!

He is a breath of fresh air in the sense he actually says what he means and I presume means what he says and couldn't give a stuff about image etc. It's very interesting how many young people joined the Labour party and voted for him. There hasn't been a real opposition for a long time time so it will be very interesting.

It all brings Michael Foot back to mind, whether or not you agree with his election or not.  But Cameron saying he is a threat to national security is reprehensible.

Scare Tactic Politics, Modi, the Tories could face a real threat of Popular Politics and people actually giving a damn about what is happening in the UK.

I purposely mis-spelt Jez's surname, as I just cannot see him being there at the next general election, he'll be in his 70's and I suspect Chuka Umanna is waiting in the wings.

I also think he is a breath of fresh air(not my taste), but at some point reality will bite. I also would not be surprised to see a new party emerge (maybe 'new' labour)

What it means I fear is 10 years of Tory government and the unpleasant prospect of Prime Minister Osborne. I have no problems with much of what JC stands for. However, call me a pessimist,  but I really don't see Labour winning any elections on that platform, not in the Britain of today. Not sure what the answer is though, but watching that clip of them all standing around in a pub in Islington doing a rather creaky and tuneless rendition of The Red Flag did make me think that this is all not so much a tragedy as a farce!

True. As I said I don't know what the answer is, but I'd still be very surprised if it was this .
