House/Pet Sitters

We're looking for house/pet sitters for short breaks i.e. up to a week max in April and September. Can anyone recommend anybody or websites that might cater for this? We're in central Le Marche, have three dogs, six cats and chickens...

A friend who has house / pet sitters in now whilst away....lives in Umbria uses a site called trustedhousesitters.com.  Apparently, both sides have to pay a fee to join and then you have access to 1000's of folk.  She says the more honest you are about what to expect at the house, the fur babies, the sort of weather to expect, the easier bit is to ween out the not so good matches.  They had 40 replies and chose a young Aussie couple who are doing a great job.  Hope this helps.
