Mandela, Gerry Adams,  All Palestinians,  Israel,  Egyptian Freedom Party,   Femen.  Even in a different context  The British 'Task Force' in the Falklands 'Conflict' - the list is endless.  Whether it is terrorism is a subjective point of view.  They are all opposition to  forms of government.  Should opposition to oppressive regimes be condoned or condemned?  Mandela was a terrorist because he violently opposed the system of apartheid, a system which is on a par with gulags and concentration camps.  I wouldn't call him a terrorist for anything he did, and neither would any non-white person.  He opposed an inhumane and brutal dictatorship  in his country.   So the argument would also conclude that , Schindler is also a terrorist,  the PArtesans in France and Italy in the WW2, the entire unionist army in the American civil war, the entire American people in the war of independence,  97% of the population of Burma...

Totally in agreement, Modi. It all depends on the side of the fence as ghiro rightly says.But to preach peace and reconciliation in those conditions is not what most people would do. And this is his greatest legacy.
