Colour/density of print display
As a newbie, I feel it's quite presumptious of me to start off by making suggestions, but I was asked to post this so I'm just following orders.
I find the pale grey a bit difficult to read so would like a bit more contrast. Boring old black would be good enough for my eyes. I don't know how others feel about it though.

Welcome Carciofo. I hope you spend many happy hours here.
I agree, which is why I've typed this in 'Bold'

I like your solution but everyone would have to do it for me to be able to read all posts, so I hope Admin will agree to do something centrally.

Just above the box you type in to post a message you will see an option to change your font colour (amonst other things). You can select "Black" and then just type up your post, although I do agree that it would be best if black was set as the default.

Re: Colour/density of print display
Not too sure I've seen many forums (only looked at a few) where you can change the font, but it would seem a reasonable thing to be able to do... There is however ways and means (not tried any yet as my eyes are good in as much as they don't seem bothered by the font) if you use FireFox or Chrome as your browser. Sure if you looked there will be methods for other browsers or for any... So if it can't be done on this site, perhaps you can fix it yourself... ?

You can do all sorts on this forum if you want to.
You can change your fontYou can change the size and even the colour, but I still think black should be set as the default by Admin.

But changing the default means an interface/functionality from the people that host it to alter the CSS file, perhaps Admin may have that functionality, but I can't see why then it would not be part of the app....

Re: Colour/density of print display
OK - black is now the default for post text.
As Miss Demeanor has so perfectly illustrated you can change the font type, size and colour. In the quick reply box you can only change the colour but if you use the 'Post Reply' button then you can change font type and size to.
I have given everyone the most control possible in their Profile but it would appear that there is no option to default the font in your Profile.
Forumotion use a version of phpBB specifically for them and so we are stuck with what they have. In order to get the forum displaying properly on Mac's I have had to downgrade to version 2 so that may be another reason.
