Tax Form for a non resident with a house in Italy
In December 2013 I had to return to live in the UK. I declared my non resident status, then the commercialista completed a modello unico last year for the 2013 tax year as I had transferred my residency overseas and charged me 100 euro. She said I would need to complete a tax form each year because I still own a small house here, until it is sold. Does anyone know which form this would be? I don't rent the house and only have UK pension income. It could take forever to sell my house, the commercialista only speaks Italian and my Italian is not good enough to pick up on some things. I pay second home imu etc. Thank you.

Re: Tax Form for a non resident with a house in Italy
Well, you pay tax on the potential rental income of your house here in Italy. At one point this tax got scrapped then I believe it was brought back in but only if the tax to pay is over €200.
The form would still be a modello unico. I would suggest if you are in Italy, going to your local Agenzia delle Entrate office and checking with them. I have found them to be very helpful and often have a service where they will fill these things in for you. If your Italian is not that good then pay for a translator for the visit and at least you will have the info from the horses mouth.

Re: Tax Form for a non resident with a house in Italy
As it would have been difficult to get into Rome, I visited a commercialista who completed the tax form and though I paid her 130 euro for this, I did not have any tax to pay. Such a relief as I do not rent the little house and cannot sell it. I hope she is correct!
