Fireworks explosion Bari kills 7

Hope there are no forum members impacted by this BBC article link . We had something similar here a year or two ago and it almost blew out our windows, unfortunately a number of the same family were killed in that as well.

There were other fires in Abruzzo also due to hot weather, San Giorgo and near Castilenti

Italians are very fond of fireworks and they do make excellent displays; however, pyrotechnics is a dangerous industry and these accidents do happen. It is a tragedy that so many people died.

Very sad to say "accident" may not be the case. There number of recent firework explosions where it has been suggested they were not such, "ice cream wars" comes to mind. Also sadly the fires in Abruzzo yesterday, it's been suggested, may have been deliberate.
