Milan Bergamo Airport
My wife is booked to fly Stansted Milan(Bergamo) this Saturday then on to Cagliari and I just wondered if anybody has any knowledge of this airport.Does she have to leave the arrivals and do passport control etc or,is it like Stansted where you can go straight to connecting flights.
Thanks
Thanks

Same with me, I haven't been to Bergamo Apt; however, arriving from an EU airport and connecting to a domestic flight should not present too many problems. She should check at Stansted to verify whether her luggage will be transferred to the connecting flight or whether she has to collect it and check it in again for the domestic flight. Here is some information on the airport: http://www.bergamoairport.net/

Then, it should be fairly simple. She may be asked to show her passport and boarding pass a few times.

Just beware of losing any liquids that may have been bought airside at Stansted. Transiting in Rome we had to go through security immediately on leaving the plane so lost the liquids I had aimed to have until my onward flight.

Thanks for the replies she has 1 hour 20 minutes from her inbound flight arriving to her outward bound flight leaving both with Ryanair hoping this is enough time.

... best on time company in Europe, so they say! They allow more time than anyone, so normally they will get in early, but of course never leave early... Think it should be loads of time....

Re: Milan Bergamo Airport
I do an international transfer at Paris/Charles de Gaulle airport, involving changing terminals in that huge airport in less time. One hour and 20 minutes is plenty of time. Relax!
