Don't bank on a particular airport when buying

I could have put this in Abruzzo, but it raises more of a question about the state of all regional airports where the taxpayer is subsidising low cost airlines like the ARTICLE HERE ?    

Yes, Steve, you are right. I have said the same thing in the past. Never make a decision to buy based on cheap flights offered by low-cost airlines. People need to look at the whole picture and see what the region has to offer as far as regular transport is concerned. What is on offer today may not be there tomorrow. Low-cost airlines get special subsidies from regional governments thinking that they will have a large positive impact on incoming tourism. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not... And then, subsidies are withdrawn. There has been similar cases in Spain. Italy is not alone...
