Warning check out your weather...

Our weather forecast for Monday looks quite bad, around 120-130mm of rain forecast in 24 hours, that along with strong winds. Checked a couple of other regions and some have nothing that day, but others the same as here. Might be worth checking out your area...

Of course they could be wrong, but this close I think not...  

Well apart from being awoken by the thunder and heavy rain around 06:30, it has not been as bad as predicted here as yet... However, there is now more thunder, rain and just to top it off very strong winds. Nice bit was to actually see the sun briefly this morning and a glimpse of a lot more snow on the mountains...

If you look at these satellite maps Europe weather maps you will see that there are quite a few heavy clouds and fronts over most of Europe. Strong northerly winds and heavy sees have been forecast, together with lower temperatures. Winter has arrived 

Well perhaps I spoke a little too soon... The plug to the PC is now off and we are on battery as the thunder is a bit too close... Not too much around over Italy, but as you can see, what is there is over Abruzzo.. Lightning map LINK   

We were affected by very high winds, driving rain, fallen trees, closed roads, flying roof tiles. Needless to say a lack of sleep also came into play.

That was a VERY wet and windy 36 hours here..............a dry (glorious) month following by a real soaking ! We went out yesterday but will stay in the rest of the week, I am sure there will be landslips after that lot !

Still raining here and has done all night, think you are so right about the landslides, just hope it's not too bad for anyone. More rain forecast for here....
