Telepass France & Italy

Is is it possible to hire a telepass box (the type that sits on top of your dashboard and allows you to avoid toll queues) for both France and Italy or do I need a separate box for each country?

Separate ones for each country. The EU is not gone that far...

Perhaps also. continental drivers could pay road tax when driving in the UK ?!!

In Austria recently............diesel was €1.37 a litre............here in Italy €1.59...........

Yeah, I take your point entirely Vicino.  I suppose in a moment of Euro madness I thought....ah, I bet you can use the same telepass box in France and Italy, but alas not it seems.

I think you have a point there Steve.  Harmonisation of wine prices ...ugh!!

You can get a Telepass box if you have an Italian Bank account and likewise the French equivalent if you have a French Bank account/Address.
Nothing Europe wide and I don't ever see it happening mainly due to the administrative problems  as all Autoroutes are run by different companies in each country.

Thanks Flip.  Got the italian account but not french.  Oh well, we live in hope that one day it might be possible but I agree with you it looks most unlikely.
