Adriatic fishing ban Empty Adriatic fishing ban

Can anyone confirm whether it us posisble to get fresh fish on the Adriatic coast during August. I have heard that there is a fishing ban every August to allow depleted fish stocks to recover. Is it an outright ban or just large trawlers that cannot fish.
