Has anyone from the Calabria region any recipes for using the above onions? Google does have some, but would rather get a more local view as these are appearing more in the supermarkets in the Marche area.

What about barbecued squid served on a bed of caramelized Tropea onions with a bit of goat cheese on the side? Just caramelized the onions the usual way...
