A new look for our forum
First topic message reminder :
You may have noticed we have changed a little.
Hopefully it is easy on the eye. I am looking for feedback so please leave me some even if it is just "Yuck - I want the old one back!"

PS - the thanks buttons will be coming back!

Where are the ads I haven't seen an ad in years. Look for a browser extension called Adblock - it's available for almost all of the browsers these days and works superbly. It'll save you a load of bandwidth too.

Re: A new look for our forum
We have no adds either, but don't use Adblock. I guess it's because we many years back started to use the MVPS hosts file. I don't mind adds for sites like these (free kind of) as I simply ignore them, but if they are accessing other sites for whatever reason, then I do want control

I don't generally mind ads, and I know they defray the expense of running websites like this. It's just that this type is a trap for unaware (or dozy) people.

OK, I've looked and can not find this "view latest post" button.
Where is it hiding?

Not sure about the light green flowery wallpaper, but the rest is great. I still do not know how to reply to a specific post ?

Re: A new look for our forum
I would need to change what type of forum we have in order to have responses in that way (ie so you can reply to a specific post). The best thing to do is to quote the original post in your response and then everyone will know what you are referring to.

To reply to a specific post all you need to do is click on the (currently) lime green "quote" button that you will find on the right hand side at the top of the post you want to reply to. When you do that, it will take you into the box where you can type your reply (the "quoted post" will also appear in the box you are typing in).
Just click in the box under the "quoted" post and type away.

Mobile version of Forum
It would be nice if you could change the colours of the Mobile version to match

Mobile version? Are you telling me there's an app for my iPhone? Am I to understand that no longer, when I leave my house, will I be divorced from the entertainment and information flowing through this forum?! That when I'm having my hair done, or finding bargains in the local shops, or lunching with friends I can still access what's going on here?
Oh joy . Please tell me, JulianaAlice, everything I need to do next.

Just click (tap) on the word 'mobile version' below!
I can view the mobile or classic version on my iphone.

B
Perhaps you need to open the forum on your phone first. It will open in the classic form (regular) and then you can go right to the bottom of the page where you will see, in small print, 'mobile version'. The mobile version displays differently, and more conveniently for a mobile phone.

Giro - have you had any luck in opening the mobile version of the forum? I use both versions on my iphone all the time.
