CULURGIONES Empty CULURGIONES

Post by Gala Placidia Sat Jul 06, 2013 8:30 pm

One of my favourite pasta dishes in "culurgiones" a kind of a large "gnocchi ripieno", a sort of pocket filled with potatoes and pecorino cheese, which can be boiled, baked or even fried. Generally served with a basic tomato sauce, I prefer them with butter and chopped sage. You can try to make them at home or they are sold ready made in some supermarkets such as Esselunga or Conad in Tuscany. This dish comes from Sardinia and it is simple and great.
