Anyone think THIS (LINK) could take off in Italy?

Not a chance, but if everything is free (Coffee,Tea, Food etc) at £1.80 and hour, how the hell does the nutcase make any money? if you only stay 15 minutes = 45p, I could down several coffees and a cake or two in that time.
Pure publicity stunt if you ask me.

This strikes me as something of a gamble.  I'd guess that the idea is to get people to rely on the facility and then slowly up the rates once the market is established.  I'm fairly sure this would get a lot of use.  Whether or not it makes financial sense though is quite another matter.

I must agree with Flip. And I do hope that I will not be wrong.

i don't think it'd work anywhere just saw a bit on internet this morning about some fast food place in queens NYC that has a problem with a bunch of old Koreans who go there buy a drink and sit for hours blocking sitting places for consumers..it looks like it's about to get nasty...so my reply would be NO.
