'What Pope?' magazine Empty 'What Pope?' magazine

Berlusconi is clearly hoping to earn some remission for his many sins by publishing 'Il Mio Papa' magazine.  It beggars belief that this could actually be a commercial venture and a weekly one at that.  So, the first explanation is the only rational one.  Surely, there aren't enough daft Italians to make this a successful business proposition?

Now come on Neil, just what are you trying to say here. Not daft enough to buy it from Berlusconi or buy something to do with the Pope  Rolling Eyes  Wink  Rolling Eyes

It's probably 100% funded by the vatican and could very well end up being self funded when you take into account magazine sales + ads.  I would imagine it's just a PR exercise to get disillusioned catholics regathered into the fold.

Either that or it's an example of modern day indulgences.  With this simple act of generosity, Berlusconi buys his way back into God's good graces.

We have all sorts of magazines like that including Jesus and Pope sticker books. The former much desired by my 3 year-old whenever it comes on TV.

I find it odd, but apparently it sells - I think its the Dear Papa problem page, and the Papal Fashion tips - white is the new black, that does it - that and the bits of plastic attached that every week allow you to build a scale model version of the popemobile in only 160 issues.   And then there's the great papal bake off, and where the Pope  likes to relax -  nuns make up tips - go on you know you want to buy a copy ...
