First topic message reminder :
I’ve been meaning to post for days, just not enough hours in a day
We’ve been keeping up to date with the weather. Seems the worst is over, fingers crossed. Our friends in Pigna know people who have a house in Castel Vittorio that have lost everything. They woke up at 5 a.m. to a big noise, and found their kitchen full of water and then that side of the house slipped down the mountain. Fortunately they managed to get out on time but they’ve lost everything.
Hope everyone is ok. Admin? La Docle?

I'm sure I asked about this the other week, but no one mentioned they had a problem. The odd thing was that Abruzzo escaped almost any rain (does not normally) and has had beautiful warm sunshine for weeks now.

I do often look at the Ciao Lunigiana site ghiro and agree it is an excellent site. I also receive the ourlunigiana emails, though strictly speaking we are just outside Lunigiana, but always like to know what is going on there.

36C today and we're 1000ft up a mountain! Thunderstorms were forecast but all we had was a distant rumble.

Promised rain didn't arise today. Hot with high humidity; let's see if it comes as promised overnight.
Too hot, hot. Hard to keep things cool enough without using fans. Dissipates all energy....

Well one quick downpour has freshened things up. Rather variable weather now, much cooler at night thankfully and yesterday was sunny and blue.
