UK road tax disc to be abolished October.

Just in case you are unaware, and I suspect the majority of us are, as from 1st October you will no longer have to display a valid tax disc on a UK registered car, and no new tax discs will be issued after that date.
I know quite a few people have a UK registered car, for numerous reasons mainly cost of insurance, so in effect this will make it easier for those that do not to have to panic about receiving ones new tax disc. You are still required to pay road tax and have a valid MOT cert, but it will be all now done via the ANPR system, when in the UK.

Another post I missed as for some reason it did not come up as new Thanks Flip, at the moment it does not impact us, but it could well do in the future and it's a good reminder of how you soon get out of touch...

I also read you can pay monthly by Direct Debit, which if thinking of changing cars or can't afford the yearly / 6 month payment would be helpful to some...
