Mobile vs Landline Tariffs
We are looking into replacing our telephone services with Telecom Italia and replacing it with mobile contracts. We are with Wind and think that it might be cheaper and easier in the long run. However, we do need ADSL for internet access and wondering if we should just stay with Telecom for that aspect and purely do calls on the mobile tarrif. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and what the pro's and cons were? And how easy is it to cancel services with Telecom Italia if we decide to go down that route.
Thanks in anticipation.

It is quite easy to cancel your contract with TIM, as it is now, ring the 187 number. My only advice would be not to go with Vodafone as there promises never materialise and their Customer Service sucks and try and cancel a contract with them is an absolute nightmare.

We changed over from TIM landline to TIM "pay as you go" cell service some years ago and subscribed to a WiFi service for internet access and have been very satisfied with the results both from a cost perspective and service perspective. Depends, of course, on WiFi availability in your particular area and amount of time you spend in Italy.

I agree with Fred. We do the same. You can purchase from TIM a MIFI ( Huawei, very small and practical and you can take it with you if you are going to other places).

Thanks Flip, Wind is the only service that works around here, well it was that might not be the case now.
