Tornado Hits East Of Milan.

Crazy weather all over Europe at the moment, but a Tornado in Lombardy.......

We had one yesterday too!

Yesterday morning here was unbelievable.  It started quietly enough with a few huge thunder claps about 8:00am. 

Then the rain, lightning and thunder started.  The rain was so heavy that it completely blocked out our satellite TV signal.  
 
About 11:00 it all seemed to die down and we thought the worst was over.  Wrong!  Then the wind started.   Seemingly out of nowhere there were these immensely strong gusts.  Obviously not as bad as in Lombardy (and elsewhere) but damaging enough.

The weather is never dull in Italia!

I watched the tornado on the Spanish TV news and it was very scary. And I agree, we would not imagine a tornado hitting Lombardy... What's next? A snow storm over the Equator? 

These extremes of weather are becoming more frequent, and effecting regions which would not normally be subjected to these types of conditions. Something is happening to the Earths weather, but I would not immediately attribute this to any particular phenomenon like 'Global Warming' as the period of influence is relatively short.

Yes, I agree Fip, and I will add that our old planet has always gone through cycles due to a multitude of reasons. In the past, whenever there was no explanation, they used to say it was "an act of God", although I doubt very much that God has anything to do with it...

Gosh, yes saw it on the news, must be frightening. We had one of the worst storms here on Saturday evening and I thought that was bad but obviously nothing compared to tornados
