Travel section....?

Is there a travel section on this forum...? I can't seem to find one.

Not as yet, but you could start a thread in the Culture section or use the appropriate regional board.

That's ok, I was just curious. I don't tend to visit the forums much, usually only in the weeks before a trip commences to get some travel updates and gardening anecdotes. I used to visit mainly the gardening and travel sections of the italymag forum and wondered if there might be a similar format on here as it was always interesting to read about other peoples road trip experiences and various possible routes, as well as olive pruning adventures and other gardening snippets.

I agree with flyingVP that people travelling experience is of great interest. Certainly people getting to and from Italy has been very helpful to lots of people I know. Getting information on nice places to stop over, fill up with petrol, eat, common traffic delays and interesting things to see is superb forum reading.    

Agreed.  I think this fine forum would benefit from a dedicated 'Travel' section.

Travel section would be good. Maybe Travel/Tourism section. As Italy has a lot of tourists, me being one of them every year.

I think if Flip were the moderator, we could call if Flipadvisor.... ?

I would like it to be ONLY travel in Italy ?! Otherwise we'll have Tom, Dick & Harry telling us all about their very exotic trip to 'wherever' that no one else could have possibly been to before...............

Agreed V.  However 'travel to, from and in Italy' perhaps?

... have I ever seen anyone mention other than Italy or travelling to and from it... Perhaps in its new life this forum will have the ability to let people set it to not see posts from a particular section and/or person for that matter...
