Sunday 'feasts' in those area.............
Servigliano: Villa Funari
Amandola: Piana di Madonna
Santa Vitt: Taverna (next to Caribinier), or Farfenza (in the village itself)
Smerillo: La Conca
All have fed me well over the years !

Re: Somewhere to eat Sunday lunchtime.....
Not very impressed with farfenza, less than 10 people in there when 3 of us went, although a lunchtime, but a birthday as well. Forgot my steak, so other 2 had eaten their meal while I still waited for mine, pressume they had to defrost it first. Lasagne must have been a few days old, as was as dry as anything and burnt. On top of that was a service charge of E3.50 for what was a poor meal.
La Concha ....... mediochre, part of the slow food group and it is so sloooooooow.
Have not tried the others mentioned above.
For a really good fixed price meal, look at this place:

It is part of the slow food movement and you really have to book for for a weekend, but it's 7 courses, wine included. Have been there a number of times.

Due to unforseen circumstances, I should have been flying out from Rome tonight to Thailand, then probably to Vietnam or Cambodia, so Sunday would have been a lovely change of food and at decent prices.
I can honestly not see the reason for the high prices here, as most is nothing special.

Re: Somewhere to eat Sunday lunchtime.....
We have not 'done' cittadella, we'll put it on our list(s)!! When we head that we we usually end up at il Tiglio or Lo Spuntino (Balzo). The problem (if it is that) is that the very nature of Sunday lunches here is that they tend to be a long slow chomp through the afternoon, putting the world to rights along with having the odd glass of the local liquids.
Villa Funari is worth a try, the owners run the deli/butchers shop in the piazza at Servigliano. It is not your average agriturismo. They have all their hams and cheeses drying/ageing in the cellars below the bar, well worth a look !
Taverna Vittoria is a family run trattoria type of place and is usually full most Sundays, as are most places, very good prices.
Piana di Madonna is just a treat, tucked away behind Amandola, they do delicious mailaino as a bit of standard on Sundays (I think the owner is Sicilian).
So many places !

Re: Somewhere to eat Sunday lunchtime.....
I must admit we would never eat in a Funari place or buy food from them after my wife was accused over running over one of the families right foot by a money chasing Italian lawyer. Funny he was walking the same way, so his right foot was on the other side of where she passed him.
Viva Italy corruption!!!

Angie, why not try Vecchio Moro as it is near to you. He does many good meals and great meat dishes, as he has always bought all the beef fillet from Communanza before we get there!!
Large portions and great quality.

Do not think they have any live in guests, as it is not like the Osterria just up the road from it.

Re: Somewhere to eat Sunday lunchtime.....
Do not think you will get pizza for Sunday lunch, as now only Friday/Sat/Sunday evenings but they are good. Like the vulcano, new for this year.
If you like beef Angie, then try the "tagliata di manzo" from the normal menu, if available at lunchtime. Otherwise call Luigi (Italian only) or Matteous (pretty good English) for things you like.

If you don't mind travelling a bit further afield, we really like our friend's agriturismo, called Agriturismo Montorso, in Monte Rinaldo. Graziana and her family do all of the cooking and we have been enjoying staying there as well as eating in their restaurant for about 9 years now. It is open to the public with a one day advance reservation:

Not close to Amandola but in Serrapetrona
Our favourite place for Sunday lunch is La Cantinella - Piazza Santa Maria, in Serrapetrona. Probably need to book 0733 908112 as popular with Italians for Sunday lunch.
This is the first restaurant we ate at, when we bought our house in Italy - 11 years ago. Our previous owner took us here for lunch the day after we bought the house.
It has great pasta dishes - all home-made pasta - and large plates of grilled meat.

Re: Somewhere to eat Sunday lunchtime.....
That's nice, Geo, a bit messy to eat, but delicious.
An Italian crab dish, which is easy to make is this one http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/crab-and-ricotta-cannelloni-recipe.html
I find the recipe a bit bland, so I add a couple of teaspoons of the arrabiata spice mix that you find everywhere to the filling.
This is an excellent dish as an entree, or a light lunch with a salad. It can be made ahead and you simply put it in the oven before serving.

Re: Somewhere to eat Sunday lunchtime.....
Apologies to all others for the 'localised' conversation !
The ONLY problem we have found at Vecchio Moro over the years has been they that have a good selection of mosquitoes in the summertime . Now that they have 'enhanced' the facilities, (apparently against mamma's wishes !) this should no longer be a problem. It could be my age, but I still like the 'bellybuster' pizza !!
I am now slowly moving towards the tagliata which is always good.
We found the Indian shop in Tolentino, S.U.P.E.R.B. !!!!!!!!!! We'll be back there very soon !!
