Recent heavy snow in Abruzzo

... just how lucky were we! Someone just posted  this Telegraph link on the Abruzzolutely forum. It was odd to see as we can see almost the entire range of mountains going around Abruzzo and the other day after the snow (2-3 days after) we were out walking and the views of the snow line were amazing. We live just under 300m and had no snow lie, although lots came down that one day. I would say above 400m there was a good covering and as you would expect the nearer the mountains the deeper it seemed to be, it was almost layered and not something we've seen here before (normally we too get hit by some of it). Not checked, but think the Telegraph got one or two town regions wrong (there is a surprise), close to Molise, but actually in Abruzzo. However the main village hit in the article is in Molise....
